Got my new Remlin!!!
I was trying to wait to get in in my hands, but couldn't. My XS Scout Rail and sights from Williams came in today and I just HAD to have it in my hand. Drove up to the LGS and got it. I really like it. Fit and finish is not up there with custom stuff, however for my uses, it will work well enough. The bluing is really nice and I think with a little working the action should smooth out well enough. The stock is smooth, and the checkering is clean and sharp. I do have a "Happy Trigger" in my future, however. But for now I am going to to enjoy shooting it the way it currently sits.
Pics to follow. FWIW, I have mounted an inexpensive red dot on it for fun at the range. I know that a lot of folks on here don't like the modern sights on lever guns, but for punching holes in paper, it'll be a hoot. C |

I have another Marlin on the list and going to do pretty much exactly what you have planned. Happy trigger etc etc. What model and caliber did you pick up or did I miss that?

Hey Chadwick. Nope, you didn't miss it. I picked up an 1894C. Blued w/ walnut stocks. .38/.357mag.

That looks great. I'm not a purist so that red dot actually gives me a grin. It's an everything gun. Hunt/Plink/Hiking. How shoot shoot shoot

Interested to hear how yours works for you. Please post up the good, bad, ugly, and truth.

Will get it to the range in a few days. I will definitely let all know how it feeds, cycles, shoots. I don't pull strings. No reason to.
