New Les Baer TRS
Hi guys, I just received my new TRS last week and have not had the chance to fire it. I noticed that if you're looking at the gun from the side and there is light in the background, you can see the spring though the slide and frame. is this normal? gun is tight as heck which I new from other owners but the spring view bothers me a bit. any thoughts?

Some guns are more than others. Normal and will not effect a thing.

After getting home from the range and inspecting mine the day I got it, saw the same thing. I thought it was weird too but paid no attention and didn't care because it shot great and reliable as hell!
I wouldnt worry, just shoot the hell out of it. |

I read some where that that is a design to help with air cooling.

I believe it's normal.
I can see the same thing on my Colt LW Commander when it's held "just right;" otherwise it's not noticeable. Rick |

Look just below the slide at the end of the dust cover. I can see a sliver of light forward of where the rails end. I am going to send guns to bragado for pre-purchase inspection from now on.
Nothing to worry about though.

Sorry guys, not able to post pictures at this time. I'm working on it though.
one thing I did try and it works is I installed a full length guide rog and now you're not able to see through. I know have to decide if i stay with the visible gap or keep the full length guide rod. |

My Stinger was that way, quite a bit actually. It was also noticeably taller from dustcover to top-of-slide; wouldn't go into several of my holsters that previously accomodated my SuperTac and TDP without issue. Would appear to me the slide grooves were a bit lower on that one, which is suppose is a possibility on a hand fitted pistol.
