New Ed Brown SF

Well after a several month wait my Ed Brown SF arrived from George at Gun Slingers. It's everything I hoped for and more. I own several 1911s from different companies with most of them being Springfield Armory. The nicest I had to this point was a SA TRP which I love and it shoots great but when placing them side by side and inspect them closely you can definitely see the difference. The thing that stuck out most was the fit of the grip safety and the slide to the frame. While the TRP is fitted very nicely for a production gun it is nowhere near as nice as the SF.

Here are the specs:

Stainless with Gen 3
Naked slide
10-8 .156 rear sight
Gold bead front sight
Recessed slide stop
Flush barrel crown
Solid long trigger
Maxi-well

Here are the photos George sent me when it came in:

Anxious for a report on the sight combo (if you've not used them before). After the last couple of EB's, don't know how I lived without them for years.

Congratulations on getting one of the finest crafted peashooters on the planet.
The guns that come from George working with his clients are the best to be seen and fired anywhere, anytime. Your option choices are outstanding and I am sure you the EB will everything you expected it to be.

Have a blast, or 10,000 blasts would be better!

Great looker! Having a little time behind my SF, I know you'll be happy with the way it shoots, too.

Awesome gun! That's identical to the one I just picked up from George about a month ago! Mine was ordered with VZ grips and carbon instead of SS though. I wish I had just got it with the wood instead. Great shooter, you'll love it! I was just taking the kid and dog for a walk with it on my hip =)
