Perhaps I need a eye exam or a new monitor....but is that a Commander frame or am I fooled by the pic angle, magwell and stocks?

I think it's the magwell, I had to do a double take myself.

Given what you had in the Ruger, I think you did just fine, assuming it hasn't been butchered inside. Anytime I see non-factory parts on a gun it makes me wonder if anything was screwed up inside. While most things are fixable, it does cost $$$.

At first blush I also thought it was a Defender Plus. It must just be the angle and the magwell making it seem longer.

Just got back from the range and it shot great.
Yes, It has a magwell installed. Doesn't look like anything was changed internally. I shot about 50 rounds with no issues.

Gun did have a trigger job 3 1/2Lbs. Extended slide release, Extended Thumb safety, Beavertail, FS Checkering, Magwell and custom wood stocks. The frame was also refinished after the grip safety was installed. Overall I'm very happy with it. The work on the gun seems to have been done very well.

When my Aunt graduated the California Highway Patrol Academy, my uncle got her a brand new one of these Defenders when they were fairly new and she carried it on duty every single day. I believe she had to get some kind of permission, but anyways I was always a little jealous as I wanted one, great guns, great deal you got and enjoy!!

This isn't the one that's not firing on ya is it? I read another of your posts regarding a Colt Officers model giving you no-bangy, this one? Man, maybe deal was even stevens, if so. Could be another one you have though?

Nope, I've bought 9 Colt's in the last 2 months. The only one I'm having an issue with is one of the Colt Officers models.
As of right now I have 4 Officers and 3 Defenders along with 2 commanders and the rest are various full size.

Shwew! Ain't that weird when they just start coming to ya? I wanted one TRP and within two weeks, had three. Well I am sure you'll get it worked out with the othern'
