New Guy From RI
Hi all. I just bought my first 1911, can't get it from my FFL until Monday though (silly law.) I've been thinking about picking one up for a while, and decided to hold out for a Ruger SR1911. No reason other than I'm a bit of a Ruger fanboy and they were getting decent reviews, and the price is good for an entry level gun IMO. Anyway, this site keeps turning up in my google searches, so I figured I'd get an account and say hi.

Nothing wrong with Rugers, they're strong and dependable firearms. When you take a solid company like ruger and add a fantastic design like the 1911 how can you lose.
