Yes, the slide would have been numbered to the receiver. The number on the slide is located under the firing pin stop plate. I couldn't tell the serial number in the original photo. Chances of finding the correct slide, unless it's in the same house somewhere, are nil. Any USGI slide should work on it but if you plan to shoot it much the best slide is one of the Colt post-war replacements that still pop up in new condition.
