Thank you to Wilson Combat and George at GS. My first 1911 purchase and love my choice. Just wanted to share with you all and thank you for the great resources on this forum.
Picked it up toady and put 350 rounds through it without a hitch ![]() ![]() ![]() Notice the brass marks on the last pic. ![]() Sorry for the poor cellphone pics. Not known for my photo skills. |

George is great, that is for sure. I noticed the your fine gun has a gold bead, how do you like that, the gun that I have coming from George has a gold bead also, welcome to the forum and welcome to the Wilson club, be aware though, Wilson's always seem to like company. thanks Jim

Thanks Jim. I already know about the Wilson Affliction. Putting together ideas/funds for a compact order with George in a few months.
I really like the gold bead, tracks clearly. The RO at the range asked if he could try it out and put all 8 rounds in single ragged whole about the size of a fifty cent piece at 20 yards(far better shot than I) but he commented on how he liked the gold bead over FO at the indoor ranges. What a nice looking gun. Congrats on your purchase. I bet it was difficult selecting your options from all of the available choices wilson offers. Based on the looks of the gun i think you made a great decision. Go shoot it and enjoy the heck out of it!

I like it very much. I also opted for the gold bead on my CQBe, and have found it to be awesome for target acquisition. Enjoy!

Fine looking handgun! Did it come with a shock buff installed?

Not sure. I literally took it out of the bag, lubed the fluted chamber, opened the action, lubed the barrel hood and rails then sent several hundred rounds down range. I'll putt another couple hundred thorough it tomorrow morning. After that I'll take it home and clean the crap out of it and see what it looks like inside.

Just going to ask in my own thread.
Dings on the ejection port are normal? Figured might be the ammo(fed American eagle and Atlanta Arms new load ammo not remanufactured) |

Just got back from the range. 650 rounds total, one FTF, bad crimp on a shell. Can finally strip it down and clean it up!
Bro K: let me know what you want to see, I'll try to get more pics up for you. |
