You know the saying too good to be true? Well I recently bought a SA TRP Full Rail Operator from my local gun shop. This is the gun I wish I coulda found two years ago when I bought my non-rail AK TRP, but, obviously I couldnt find one. So the other day I walk in and see this thing in the case. Bought it right away. Even after getting it home and knowing what I know about these guns I'm still kind of in shock. The sticker on the gun...no joke was 799. Walked out the door (after the owner helped me more w the cost) for 729.99. I've called SA and they said its a TRP Operator built in 2004. Is there ANY chance I'm not holding what I think I am? Someone pinch me please.

Can't see how it could be a false alarm. TRP rollmark on slide. Adjustable rear night sight. AK finish. Bull barrel. And finally, SA says so. Congrats!!

FWIW, a nice one sold on the SW Forum yesterday for $1K even.

Check, check, check, check and check. Are they dropping in value or did I just find a hell of a deal? I thought these critters went for 13-1600 if ya find the right guy.

There's one currently on gunbroke.com being aggresively bid at $1200+ with five days left. The local SA dealer gets a bunch of new ones in occasionally and sells them out quickly at $1900.

Don't fight it--sounds like you found a bargain--and an ignorant retailer.

Hope that worked. Can't have people callin BS even knowing they're joking. It needs cleaned and maybe a re-coating (see the little chip by "operator"). But I shoot my guns so she'll prob keep her battle scars.
