Check it out. This is my S&W E Series pistol with the new alumagrips I bought for it. They have the Hitman Logo on it.

My gorgeous new replacement pistol from S&W:





I already added an Ed Brown standard-style recoil spring guide and plug setup, 10-8 grip screws, and a 10-8 mag catch. A 10-8 slide stop will be going in, a 10-8 rear sight is awaiting installation, and I'm thinking about an EGW HD strong-side only thumb safety. Oh, and some VZ grips.

A couple of pics from last Sunday. We got together with some great friends for dinner at our place. After the meal my buddy and I snapped some pics. I am a long time 1911 fanatic/owner. This one is his first and he did well. No, before anyone brings it up, we did not mess around with alcohol and loaded firearms.

Mine-Stainless S&W 1911 with a few bells and whistles.

His-Stock scandium frame S&W 1911.

Smith and Wesson 1911PD
So I sold the first PD I posted on this forum. Then I traded an M&P 40 for this one! Best trade of my life actually. I love this gun so much. I think JMB built this gun just for me. Really! Now I just need to get some Trijicon night sights for it. Stay tuned!

Esquilax -- that's a fantastic setup! I did roughly the same on my full size (5") E-series: 10-8 rear sight, Ed Brown GI guide rod & plug, and I'm working on some olivewood grips.
