Start at about the 1:00 minute mark. Looks best in 1080HD.

Ruger SP-101 .22LR, two-hand standing unsupported, double action, 100 yards, two paper cups in six shots. Luck involved as the revolver's inherent accuracy is about 8 moa, but it wasn't all luck, or even mostly.

Not a 1911 but I did bring two with me. After a 2 click sight adjustment my new 686 is in the black. 25yrds 3 or 4 cylinders of cheap S&B ammo. Was using my bag as a make shift rest and shooting SA just to see where it hits. Just picked up these rosewood grips from a great guy on the S&W forums (ogilvyspecial). For a new production mim (and stupid lock) gun it does have a pretty fantastic DA trigger. Now on the hunt for a good OWB holster.

In a recet T&E of ArmscorUSA 230 grain FMJ ammo, I fired five rounds at 25 yards from my nickel Rock Island, shooting over my range bag.



Then just for grins, I fired five more right on top of them at the same distance from the bullseye stance.



Not National Match material I know, but I wasn't unhappy about it either.

This is a five shot group at 8 yards with a brand new Rock Island Compact. I took my time with each shot but it goes to show the accuracy is in the hands of the beholder most of the time

These are the last few mags of my wife's first attempt at shooting (as in ever with any gun) from about 6 yards. It was a Hi Point C9 and I had a grand total of 50 rounds because I had no idea if she would love it or hate it. The big ones are the few I put into it with my Regent.

She bought the C9 the next day and applied for her permit today. I think we got a live one boys!!

I know right? I shoot the thing ONCE after about 3 mags and it hits like 6 inches high right. I look at her kinda funny and say-

"It shoots WAY high and to the right, didn't you notice that"?
She says-
"Ya, just aim low left".

I fixed the sights when we got home. She told me I better not mess them up because now she knows how to make it shoot where she wants.

I invited my 83 year-old mother to join me this afternoon. Surprised me by accepting the invitation!!! It's been many years since she last did any shooting and then it was with .22 Rifles mainly.

So, today, we did some shooting with my RIA 1911 Super38. She did OK for a first time out in many years.

Not my best target, but a typical one for me.
This was my first 20 shots at 50 yards (yes yards), one handed, slowfire (bullseye practice). I reused a target that already had 22LR holes in them.
Bullseye is 8", 10-ring is 3.3", X-ring is 1.7".
