What finish is on c3
What is on the extractor and slide stop? I don't like the way it looks and want to know if I can polish it or if sig makes stainless parts to replace them. Also do you know what finish is on the frame, I'm curious. Thanks

The frame is anodized aluminum. The slide stop and extractor are nickel plated carbon steel. The do not make stainless replacements for them. Every 1911 Sig makes has these 2 parts in carbon steel for some reason. The rest of the parts are stainless though. Go figure.

Yeah, I replaced my slide stop the day I bought my Stainless model because of the coating. IMHO, it looked like crap because everything else on the gun matched except for that. I don't mind the extractor because it doesn't stand out, but the slide stop takes up enough real estate to bother me.
