Did ok, need practice

Whole lot of firsts for me today and still did respectable.

First time really shooting my K31.
First time shooting 200 yards (especially with iron sights).
First time using an adjustable bench rest on the fore stock.
First time shooting any yardage for score.
First time shooting any rifle in about a year.

Was the only shooter that didn't have either a full support shooting rig for my weapon or two rests. Was having problems focusing on the target. Still managed to kind of suprise the guys I was shooting with. From what they told me most of the time when someone comes out for the first time cold like I did. They don't score as well or barely hit the target. I scored a 279 w/ 1 X this was 40 rounds at a 200 yard target with about 10" black circle. Dissapointed in my score since I tbought I would do better going in, but all things considered I think I did pretty good and will have to practice more. Definitely had a blast and am looking forward to doing it again. I think the next one is only a 100 yards, should have started there. Oh well!!!
