Does Colt Offer a 1991, .38 Super in Brushed Stainless?
From the 2012 catalog, it looks like the .38 Super is only available as high polished stainlesss steel in the Government Model. I've seen 2012 versons on Gunbroker in blue (also not listed in the 2012 catalog). I would assume you could get one in brushed stainless, but I'm not seeing them.
Thanks for the help! |

They sold two different versions with brushed flats, until a couple of years ago. There was a 1991 version (I got one when they came out, circa 2003), and Colt also offered a Super that looked like the old "enhanced" pistols of the 1992-1998 period. Don't know why they had two similar guns at the same time, but I think they dropped the LW Commander and the full-sized guns, save for the COLT CUSTOM model, at about the same time.
