Off the top of my head there is Be Safe Gun Training but it's a bit of drive from Palmdale... But then, what ISN'T a drive from Palmdale, eh?

They're actually located in Torrence but they offer a lot of different options: http://www.besafeguntraining.com/

Great training opportunities

You have a great training resource in your backyard. Scott Reitz at ITTS:

I almost wish I lived in LA for this kind of an opportunity. Also go to louis Awerbuck at www.yfainc.com for his mobile training events.

Absolutely a great choice with Scott. One of the very few any more that have the real world experience to be qualified to instruct. Equally important is that ALL of his range instructors, both male and female, are SWAT oriented with real life experience.

From an admittedly bias prospective ...... base your training on the advice and expertise of those that have actually had experience, on the job, with rounds coming in and out.

Check out Firearms Training Associates www.ftatv.com. They are based out of Yorba Linda. They offer everything from basic pistol to SWAT/Military type training. Bill Murphy, the owner lead Instructor, is retired Huntington Beach PD, who has "seen the elephant". He also runs the Surefire Institute and is a senoir rangemaster at Gunsite. His wife, Cheryl, is retired Anaheim PD. They have a cadre of very professional, low key instructors.
