Post kidnapping
I am a new member, and i have noticed on some of the threads that the original posts have edited in a manner where it has disappeared completely, with a vague explanation left behind. Now, on a thread earlier today/yesterday a moderator (something Delta) laid out criteria for warranted post removal/editing. What he failed to explain is why moderators/OPs removed the source and purpose of these threads without leaving behind a reason. This seems a little unfair to the users who share this site, who are opening empty, useless threads confused out of our flippin minds.

The moderators aren't doing it. It appears instead that the original thread starters have chosen to delete their posts. If they wish to do so they have that right, but when found we're simply deleting the threads rather than continue discussion on a topic for which the original post no longer exists.

Try not to fall into the common trap of wanting to replace everything on your new 1911 just to make it "better". Know what you're changing out, and why. You may spend a lot of money fixing things that weren't broken to begin with. Shoot it for at least 500 rounds, then decide what you don't like and want improved. Vintage 1911's should NEVER be refinished or modified because it ruins any value they had as a collectible firearm. |
