9mm mag help.
I bought a Rock tact 8 9mm from Buds today. What are the best mags and place to get them for this gun?? I will get picks up once I get to pick it up.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

The people in the know here recommend the Metalform 9FR-974 specifically. On the recommendation I bought 2 and so far have not had any type failure in about 200 rounds. I got mine at Midway.

Now haviing said that, the OEM mag, a Checkmate, has been flawless also. The above Metalform is supposed to be the mag for HP. At this point I have only shot FMJ.

Haven't had any issues with my Checkmates.
I really like the nickel plated ones.

I have a collection of various brands.

Colts also work very well.

The 9FR-974 only shows up in the ad literature, sorry did not realize that. Be sure you see it in the one you order. It is Metalforms number not Midways list number.

The 9-round Springfield 9mm mag is the same as the Metalform, except is costs about $7 more @ Midway than the Metalform-name mag. I've noticed that the Springfield's are in stock more often than the Metalform 9FR-794 is. Same mag, different name, should give same results. Both of these are stainless steel.

I bought 4 extra stock ones when i ordered the gun. 2,400 rounds absolutely perfect . Well until the slide broke anyway

My 9mm don't want to feed JHP with Checkmate mags.
It feeds everything else as long as its not JHP.

So I used Springfield/Metalform mag off of my Springfield Loaded 9mm, and it took care of the JHP feeding issue.
So I bought 3 more.
Its well worth the money
