I can't get my Wilsons to..............
FAIL in any way. I have been into 1911s from the first tme I fired a pistol. It was a friends Colt and the X ring disapeared with the first shot.........
I was hooked but poor some 30+ years ago. I'm not that much richer today, but I measure my quality of life in part by having my weapons that WORK. I EDC my ULC and and shoot it alot. I use my CQB Elite for competition and some plinking and both have been flawless performers for several thousand rounds each. I am still excited from a morning shooting with the S. FL Speed Shooters. I am half way through detailing my CQB and I just felt like Wilson should get the credit for a perfect day on the range. It was perfect, I was not. I have been through Colts, Paras, S&Ws and even an EB but I have never felt this kind of confidence in a 1911 until I was able to buy a Wilson! My Kimber Stainless Compact I, was as reliable only after spending another 2 grand having Dane Burns do a complete rebuild. My Glocks are as reliable but I am less accurate with them. I have to admit they are absolutly dependable. The ULC was my response to the back pain that caused me to switch from the Kimber to carry a Glock, followed by my desire to be more accurate. I tried other light weight 1911s but never had the total reliability I could get with my Custom Kimber or any out-ot-the-box Glock. Providence and $$$$ brought me to Wilson's door. I'm now an even happier camper. There are NEVER any problems to report with my 2 Wilsons -- like we all see on the other manufacturere's threads. That is worth writing about! OH, I love detailing a Wilson b/c the inards are soooooo nice. |
