Congrats, I have had my CC for a few weeks now and still touch it several times a day. Is this a problem? Shoot the crap out of it. I feel like shooting it daily.

The anticipation is a kind of love hate relationship. Love it that you are a new Baer owner but hate the fact you have to wait for it.
Congratulations. It'll give you years of trigger time.

VZ aliens, I love mine. Also the 10-8 grips are highly liked.

Don't overlook VZ grips when you're shopping and congrats on your choice of 1911's!

Definitely check out Larry Davidson grips, he truely makes a quality product. I have a blued custom carry, and I've tried about 5 sets of other grips which I love...but honestly I keep going back to the stock wood grips. Once I got used to the checkered wood...nothing feels the same. Plus I love the look too. Good luck and enjoy your new Baer! Dont forget about those stock grips, I've got to sell a few sets cuz nothing satisfied me like they do

I mentioned the VZ grips but Larry Davidson is good also. Be aware that many of the grips made from synthetic material can be quite "agressive" in their checkered finish so, if you have softer hands like me and shoot 200-300 rounds at a time, you may not want something that'll be that hard on your hands. If so, simply look for grips that have the less "sharp" points on their checkering regardless of brand. The VZ 320's are an example of a less aggressive finish - I'm not pushing VZ - I just happen to have that model.
Actually, one of my favorite grips to shoot with is the Hogue rubber panel - I like rubber grips and they're fairly cheap to boot. (I'm a fan of rubber grips anyway - wood looks the best, rubber grips the best. )

Hello Allin,
Congratulations on your new Les Baer.......I'm sure that once you shoot her, you'll never let go. You asked about new stocks.....if you like wood, and I do, give Esmeralda a try. Just go to her site (search on Esmeralda grips) and you can look over her entire inventory. To me, nothing surpases the beauty, warmth and tactile correctness of beautiful wood. Especially like the original double diamond pattern. Anyway, take care and keep us updated on your exploits with your new Baer. |

Congrats on the new piece, and check out Alumagrips. I have settled on them as my personal favorite.
