Help with the value of 29-2 NIB - ACQUIRED IT w/ PICS

I am looking at 29-2 6.5" with the wood presentation case which is fully intact, tools, paperwork, blue liner and original shipping carton. The gun was bought by a dealer in the 70s wiped down with Rustepruf and stored in a Bore Store. They did this with several S&W as a retirement investment and recently retired so they are available now. This has not been touched at all since it left the factory. Asking price is $1500. Is that about right? I saw some like this went for $850-1000 but there are a few on GB right now but you can't always go by that as anyone can ask any amount for a weapon and it not reflect the actual value of the weapon.
