Ordered 45 acp 23 lrn shipped 225 l tc
I ordered 45 ACP 230 LRN, but shipped 45 ACP L TC. How much of difference between the the two. I know the TC has a harder impact. I didn't even know what is was. In regards to PF how much of difference. I have 2 boxes really don't want to send back, real pain in the neck.

AS long as your load for the 230LRN is not MAXIMUM, substituting a 225 LTC is not going to make much difference difference. I shoot HP-38/Win231 powder in my 45 ACP and my 230LRN load and 225LTC load is identical. Both shoot very accurately.

Just going off the numbers, a 5 gr reduction in bullet weight would be about a 2% reduction in PF.
Doing the math: 225 gr X 717 fps = 161 PF, or reduction of 4 PF. I got lucky at a match last year. My load with 200 gr MSWC's that chrono'd 170 at my home range chrono'd 164 at the Match. But my bullets weighed in at 204 gr, which put me at 168 PF. Phew! |

I'm using 4.5 Titegroup under 45 acp LRN 230. Thaty seems to be a good load for me. Just keep it the same.
