Boston Police Motorcycle Operations Platoon/special Ops using Sig 1911's

I was assiting Boston Police MOP platoon the other day and noticed several Are carrying the optional Sig 1911's and 4 spare mags which fit thier old .40 cal mag pouches. I think that they must go to a week long training class to transtition over to them. I'll have to call my buddy over there and find out...

The Boston PD SWAT team, called Entry and Apprehension Teams I believe, have been using Sig 1911s for about 3 or 4 years now. They look like a TacOps with black wood grips that don't have the Sig logo. They are supposedly made one at a time by the Sig custom shop. It was on the Sig website under news and press releases for a while. I don't know if the motorcycle guys have the same model.

All MOP guys are in the Entry team. They are a seperate entity from District bikes and also man gun cars and field snipers. They may have been evaling them, but, they havent been rolling with them very long. ive done quite a bit of work with them.
