too much ammo

Too much ammo, I've been buying ammo for 50 years, never thought about how much I have until this article so I roughly counted it. WOW, does 35,000 45acp,45 Colt,9mm, 30-06,223 and 22 sound like a lot.

As for legality, they don't ask, and I don't tell.

If you can not afford gas to get to the range, or range fees, or gun oil then you spent to much on ammo. Outside of that what else you going to spend money on.... Kids....

Better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it.... Ammo I mean not kids.

When you are a reloader you are not trying to accumulate ammo it is that you hate empty dirty brass.

You just have to clean it and fill it up. It makes the brass happy.

I went by the local Wally World on Monday and I couldn’t believe it, but there were 7 - 100rd bulk packs of WWB .380acp… first I’ve seen there in almost a year.

I wanted so badly to guy all 7 and had no problem affording it, but I decided that I owed it to the next guy to be able to get some so I just bought 3 of the boxes… I’ll be danged if I didn’t have to run back by there for something else about an hour later and the rest of them were already gone and the salesman said it could be months before they see any more.

What do you guys do in this situation? I want to have plenty of ammo in reserve (i.e. “Can you have too much ammo”)… but I don’t want to be the guy that buys out the supply and leaves none for anyone else…

Too much ammo..??

NO..!! Can't have too much. I have 2 large gun safes for my "Tools", and one large for the ammo. I'll be looking to add another "ammo" safe within the next month or so.

Cabela's just recently had Fiocchi .223 on sale, so I stocked up "some".
I, of course, stocked up on some more .45, .22, 12ga, 9mm, and .357.
I'm not divulging the number of rnds I have currently, but let's say that "I'm good to go in the ammo department".....and leave it at that.

I'm sitting Ok.......for now. Running in severe shortages at Walmart. They have the best prices locally, but NO STOCK......ever. I'm thinking that the employees are letting "family" know when the stuff arrives and are getting it sold very quickly since they are only allowed to order so little.

You couldn't have said it better. You're right on the mark. Storage is getting "tight" around here, and what you've mentioned already is why. I've got a few mouths to feed and about 4 months ago I did some "calculations" and let's just say I picked up a few more items.

The storm IS on it's way. Some think next spring, summer...? Doesn't matter. Those "prepared" will be FAR AHEAD of those sheeple who see nothing. I don't get it........how is it possible for them to not even NOTICE what's been happening around us. At work, you hear co-workers yakkin' about TV shows, Letterman, and NOT ONE talks about what's going on like it doesn't include them. Stupid. Maybe for them "ignorance is bliss"...??

Hope for the best, plan for the worst, and maybe we'll walk out somewhere at the other end of the tunnel, huh..?

*May you all shoot 1" groups and 100 yds..!!

And you live in New Jersey? You'd better watch out who you tell or you may get a visit by the AUTHORITIES investigating your "terrorist potential arsenal".
