Looking for 1911 Wallpaper

Anybody have some good photos of 1911's for desktop backgrounds, or links to some sites... What do you guys have set for your wallpaper?

+1 on the STI site.

They have a great animated 1911 screen saver.

Cool pistol! Pardon my ignorance, but can you give the specs on it?

My first thought was that it reminded me of a movie I saw recently. I was watching some old Charlie Chan murder movies and they all seemed to carry what looked like very small 1911's... I never did figure out what they were.

It's an Officer's frame and Commander slide, with some welding to resemble a Colt 1903. The maker's here. Sadly I can't afford one.

Very cool. Thanks for the link , it was an interesting read. I guess those were 1903's that I saw in the film.

I used one that was posted by a guy here on the board. It was a picture that had 5 maybe 6 1911s laying grip up and the barrels were pointed in a semi circle. It was a good picture with some clean area for your icons.

Here is a pic of one of my pistols. I didn't take the pic. A professional did before I purchased it. Feel free to use this. I also have it high resolution if you need a larger size. I'll just e-mail it to you.

Note, the serial number on this weapon was photoshoped by me and is not correct.

Regards,
Greyson

I have some I took with my Kimbers that I really like. I can't display em as wallpapers at work (long story), but I think they are good enough IMO, but I'm biased.

Just one example...
