Para SX1640S Limited
I am found a gun online that I am thinking of purchasing. It lists it as part number SX1640S 1640 High Cap, which according to the Para catalog is the LIMITED model, which is what I want.
The photo in the add (stock Para photo btw) shows a gun that is "similar" but doesn't appear to be the limited shown in the 08 & 09 catalogs that I have. My questions are as follows. can anyone tell me what year part number SX1640S was offered? Are there "pre-production" stock photos running arond that may not show all of the features? The gun is supposed to have a Fiber Optic front sight, the photo shows a blade The gun is supposed to have a skeleton trigger, which is not shown. Other than that, it looks the same This is a reputable gun dealer that I have found, so I'm not concerned about being "taken", I just want to make sure this is the gun that I want and not a 3 or 4 year old model without the latest improvements. I have attached photos. Please help. I want to make a decision on this gun right away |

The first picture is an approx 3 to 4 year old model. New second picture is supposed to be the newest offering. The gun you are looking at may or may not have a fiber optic front sight dedending on what Para was installing when the gun was made. The LIMITED name does not mean a limited run or limited number of gun made. In other words, no increased value over the long haul because it says LIMITED. |
