Alessi PCH

Holsters, and more holsters... I've tried a Sparks VMII, Brommeland MCV, Andrews MacDaniel, AKJ Concealco; all of which I thought to be of top notch quality from top notch folks. Now I'm finally beginning to understand why holsters are such a personal issue. What works for 'most' doesn't necessarily work for me. It's the little things that can make such a difference. Anyway, my recent purchase of an Alessi PCH seems to be a big winner so far. The loops on top do add a little bit of bulk compared to the 'fore and aft' designs, but overall the holster just has a smaller footprint than the others and doesn't take up as much real estate on my little 32" waist. I've yet to wear it for extended periods, but man it feels great so far. Especially the extra leather on the front side. Anybody else love the PCH? This one is nize. THANKS UNCLE LOU!

After wearing out and about some more, the loops on the outside do not really give me the 'kidney lump' and worst case, the two loops print.... but not the pistola. Much preferable for me rather than dealing with the wide loops. Who knows, I may change my tune when the Sparks Watch Six arrives.

Yes, I also have and like wearing the Alessi PCH holster with a 5" 1911. It and the Sparks Heritage are my two favorite IWB holsters.

I have three IWB holsters that I really like; a PCH, a Watch Six and a CQC/I. I don't think I'll be trading or selling any of the three real soon. Like never.

I'm just trying to remember when I had a 32 inch waist I think it was 8th grade. Even right out of Air Force OTS, it was 34 (and not for long!). Been goin' the wrong way ever since.

Nice holster and pistol, though! What beavertail GS is that?

RickyT is this week's winner on the price it right! I mean, the beavertail is right...

Yes, my new Colt lightweight commander... I'm so happy with it. Just got it back from the 'smith for a carry bevel treatment. Oh, it's about perfect now. Another shameless pic.

Nice PCH. I have one on order with Lou. How long ago did you order that? Hopefully, mine will come up soon. Getting antsy. It sure is hard to wait but I'm sure it'll be worth it when it arrives.

I almost feel bad about this... almost. But, I sent Lou an e-mail about what I was looking for and steps I needed to take for placing an order... He had made that one custom (stitched loops with shark) for a guy by mistake who needed a left-hand. At my door three days later.

Nice. I wouldn't feel bad, just lucky. I'll just twiddle my thumbs a while longer and keep waiting for the phone to ring or the email to show from Lou, asking for money that I will gladly fork over. Enjoy the PCH and let us know how it wears after you've worn it more.

Jim,

Sorry to hijack the thread, but what's a CQC/I? I'm not familiar with that one. Got any pics? I've got a PCH, along with several other IWB's, but I'm always looking for something new. Thanks!

Big Red, that holster is beautiful. I really like the shark loops. The contrast in the colors is very appealing. PM inbound.

A CQC/I looks about like a Summer Special.

I have two of them,,, one to wear,,, the
other for when the first one wears out in
30 years... That way I won't have to wait

Big Red decided to sell his PCH and I jumped all over that fine leather. Love it. Thanks Red.

No, the gun isn't loaded, I was carrying a full size when I decided to take the picture. So I quickly shoved the commander in the holster for the picture.

Aw, Ricky.... such a fine holster and you thread an instructor's belt through it instead of some exotic leather. Just awful! Kidding...
