AR Maintenance
I know to change springs in my 1911 after so many rounds so my question is how many rounds out of a colt 6920 before you change the recoil buffer spring? Also is there anything else that gets changed after a high round count? Thanks!!!

ETA: that was easy, my memory is better than I thought it was. Dave runs classes locally and the intervals are from his website, I believe this maintenance section is also stickied in M4C. http://www.milcopptactical.com/troglodyte.htm

I do things a little differently, but that's a decent general guide. Barrel length and ammo will play a part in this as well.

I should add that I've had my bolts (from quality manufacturers) need replaced between 6,000 and 10,000 quite often, especially in SBR's.
For my action and extractor springs, I change around 5,000+, but have had to change them with less rounds than that, but those were SS and not CS. Edit - I typically measure the action spring if I do a thorough cleaning and if it's under 10 1/4", they get replaced. 11 3/4" if it's one of the A5's with the rifle length spring. Bolts will vary with your firing schedule.
