Optics for 300 wby mag

I had a vxi Leopold scope on it but took it off and placed on it my ruger mini 14. It really makes the mini a lot of fun to shoot now, so I am looking to get a x12 scope for the wby. 500 is about my budget any suggestions?

A 3.5-10X VX-3 would make a great scope for it!!!!

Hard to beat Leupold, but a classic would be a 2 1/2-8x B&L with quick-D mounts. That's what Weatherby sold most of in 50's/60's.

The world record group at 1000 yards was done with a 40X scope set on 40X. I have a Counter Sniper 10X40-56 and I understand how it was done. Scope cost me $550 and gets used on two different Remy 700 300 WM's and a Remy 700 .338 Lapua. Doubtful you're going to find more scope for the money, anywhere. If you don't want to use allo the power, just dial it down. You can never have too much scope, but many times you cannot have enough.
