Messing Around in the Shop




Ever since picking up my Colt Defender a few weeks ago, I've been messing around with making custom grips for it. Sorry about the quality of the pics. I guess I'm a better woodworker than photographer. Maybe I'll try my wife's Canon 40D and get some decent shots. Or maybe just have her take the pics.

Left to right: Bocote, Zebrawood, Marblewood, Cocobolo, Orange Osage, Walnut.

I agree, Reid. I bought checkering tools, but haven't practiced enough to try it on grips yet.

Those are very nice. I think you have a future as a grip maker. If I didn't use CT Lasergrips on my Defender, I'd try to talk you out of the pair on the far right, top picture.
