Please tell me where I can buy this Para

I'm interested in purchasing a new, model 2012, Limited (model SX1445), the one that comes with the new G10 grips and the egw extractor in stainless steel and ionbond.

Anybody know who could have this particular model in stock?

I called para yesterday trying to hunt down a p14 tactical or black ops, spoke to Tim. Nice guy, but told me they ship to distributors (makes sense) and therefore couldn't tell me any local places that have them. Gave me the name of 2 stores in my area that carry para (had already been to 1) but that info is available off the website. Fwiw I have been to several large stores locally and they have told me similar things, "they are hard to get". For the 2 pistols I asked about, Tim said they were making another run, I believe he said April.

I too am on the hunt for the 2012 SX1445, however most of the guns on the pipeline are still the 2011 models and the dealers and gunshops I've visited said they are unable to tell which of their stock is a 2012 production.

When I see them, you'll probably know by then. Davidson's has the clearest description on their website of the Para model being sold. They do have some P-14's, and these have the standard extractor (pre-PXT design). I remember they don't carry the new SX1445 though.

Some of the 2012 models will have the G-10 grips and Ionbond finish (on slide and/or frame and/or barrel). And all of the 2012 models will have the EGW heavy duty extractor, or standard extractor, as in the case of the P-14's and the GI series, IIRC.

Can't Tim go to someone in his (Para's) customer service or sales department and ask them to search sales records or invoices to see who they sold/shipped that particular model gun to last?

Here's a couple of places that appear to have the single stack tacticals in stock.

Otherwise, conduct internet searches and make phone calls to dealers and see if you can get one.

Both are 2011 model.

Johnfritz they would only have sales records indicating which distributor, ie Davidsons, that they sold them to. I suppose they could share that info, but I'm not sure if you called the distributor they would tell you which lgs they sold them to.

You can download the 2012 catalog from their web site. Plenty of pictures.

Went to buds site today- the have updated inventory and have a number of new pistols in stock including the limited and some black ops.

Man, there is some nice iron on that page. They aren't cheap though... *phew*. I know I had to bite the bullet when I wrote the check for my PXT1445SGR. That was some Colt money I spent there.

But I just gotta have at least one wide body in the Fritz arsenal. It was tough though deciding between that 1445 and the Gun Rights 7-shot model with the wood grips. Nice and nice.
