How many of your bosses know you carry at work?

My boss is CEO of the company, and he has specificallly declined a "no firearms on the premises" policy when presented by other employees. Because nobody really realizes I have a firearm handy besides him, he knows that if someone in the organization wigs out in a violent manner, they will not be as able to do damage as if the entire organization was staffed by sheeple. I do understand that this is the exception, not the rule.

You can't CC on the base where I work. As a matter of fact, I've never seen a military instillation that allows CC. It's such a crock of ****. I actually hate it everytime there are 30+ Soldiers around my immediate area. We are all sitting ducks. Not just while we are at work, but the drive to/from work also.

In Lithuania there is no such gun-culture like you have in US. Nobody talks about guns, nobody thinks about guns either. It was a big show when colleagues found out that I have a "real gun" - had to show it all around the office (5" railed scandium S&W 1911 - definitely the first 1911 they ever saw, this pattern is extremely rare in Lithuania), but afterwards everybody pretty much forgot about the whole thing.

Everyone in the office are anti-gun or indifferent. Luckily the bosses are of indifferent sort and the administration of the building likely never even thought about firearms, so no rules exists concerning the matter.

I agree. Guys who are called on to carry weapons to do their job are not trusted with them when they are back in the states? Doesn't make sense to me. The Fort Hood shooting would have been over sooner and with a lot less loss of life if the victims had been armed.

I so agree with this. I find it laughable that ex-military or even active military are not trusted enough to carry weapons here at home, but then we trust LEO who have far far less weapons training.

I cite the following where one officer fired 10 rounds and the other fired 16, and it has yet to be disclosed who shot the innocent bystander.

Truly blessed when i interviewed for the job a friend that i shoot with, has them as a client and they needed a driver, so he told them about me, when i went in, talked yadda yadda, so they asked for all the pre hire id.
Gave them every thing then they asked do i have a chl! I said yes. They said they would get back to me, a day later i was hired, and later i was told the biggest factor was i had a chl,

Because of my record and such. Plus they all carry also. All that to say yeah they know

My boss (owner of company) has no problem with it. A few years ago we had an "incident" with a worker that was fired and he asked me privately if I was carrying that day and I said yes and he said “good”.

My boss started carrying after I told him one day that I always do........period.

He even bought the same holster I use.

A crossbreed supertuck.......mine has a 45acp his a 32 auto.

Maybe one day he will move up......?

My boss and her daughter love the fact that i carry at work ! I never asked if i could, one day they seen it and asked if i carry everday and thought it was gonna be a issue, they looked at each other and then at me and said. SWEET !

I'm an RN and the wife is an MD, and we both work for the same hospital system. The only person at work who knows we carry is the hospital administrator as we both had to get written permission to bring our weapons onto hospital property. Mainly, we both have a biometric safe welded into the trunk of the car so that when we get to work we store our weapon in the safe, along with a copy of the letter from the hospital administrator, should the need arise.
