My new PII does the same thing but it's no big deal to me. I see it as just little brass kisses :biglaugh:. Doesn't hurt the brass either.

Thanks, wish I could shoot a group like that from a rest too :). I can't shoot from sand bags or any kind of rest for some reason. The harder I try the worse it gets.

No, just the opposite. The fixed focal length lens lets me see the front sight clearly and the progressive bifocal lens lets me see everything else. Works great for me.
