Interesting. Had a 1911 years ago that had a "mouse trap" to hold the bbl. in battery. It was a Shockey ball gun. Wish I had it back.

I thought they were talking about the OD of the bushing. Guess it's the ID. Barrel must be binding.

I've used the safety on a 1911 for almost forty years and train with it on, so it's no big deal. Wasn't the original design without a thumb safety and the Army made JB add one?

Since reading this thread, I've dug mine out and have been stretching it out. I think I'll use it. It is a comfortable holster with the tail piece.
