i consider my R1 commander one of the best US made production 1911s currently available. Many others don't even come close in terms of reliability and accuracy at twice the cost IMHO.

Remmy hands down.......SA 1911s have been hit or miss, I've had a SS loaded that would shoot one hole all day long and i've had one mil spec that would not hit the broad side of the barn so to speak.

Forget recycling the old pin off the spur hammer. Installing hammer strut with a new pin isn't hard but you will need the right tools. i did one last week with a Caspian hammer.

Accuracy could suffer with aftermarket bushing.:)
