Mine took a little tweaking to get perfect … biggest improvement came with Tripp mags. Now it runs great. I would dare to say it is my most accurate 1911 … and I have a few. It is a keeper.

The rib adds a level of uniqueness that makes it more desirable to me. Looks more "finished" too. I like it!

Now just make it with Bomar type adjustable sights and I will be even happier!

Operation was less than perfect with the factory mags depending on the load I was using. The Tripps seem to be much more forgiving. Good luck with your SSC ... let us know how it shoots!

I have (and love) an SSC. The 40 is a tricky caliber to make work in a 1911. It took some tuning on my part to make it run 100% (and good Tripp magazines). That said, it might be my most accurate...

Train with it first ... especially if the 1911 (single action) platform is new to you ... and then decide. I carry condition one (cocked and locked) but it is not right for everybody. I shoot a lot...
