Throwing aside all the opinions on longevity, weight is the only real difference. The lighter gun will have more felt recoil especially when using SD loads but it's manageable.

If only it were that logical. It's mostly emotional in my opinion like the 9 vs 45 or best gun oil arguments. A lot of the folks I've heard arguing about it over the last 10 years don't shoot enough...

They are showing what was tested. Every manufacturer tests differently but not every gun will work with what was tested. I load for seven .45 caliber guns and about half won't feed rounds that short...
