I don't/won't ever carry mags in my pockets. When I do carry a spare mag, it's usually on my left side, OWB, in a leather, swiveling cell phone holster. (The old, pre-smart phone type) :)

You won't get any more precision from a mic die...

You won't get any more precision from a mic die for seating than you will with a Lee die that uses a seating screw/stem. You'll just have a numbered reference for your repeat work.

1.275" is the MAX o.a.l. Most of us load somewhere around 1.250". Just crimp enough to remove the flare. Just flare enough so that the bullet sits in the case without falling out.

Same pressure isn't the issue here. You won't likely find bulged 9mm brass; you will likely find bulged .40 Sheitz und Weazel brass, if you find any bulges at all.

Don't know where you got the idea to "firmly crimp" plated bullets. You crimp them as lightly as you can...just enough to remove the bell.

Roll crimp into the cannelure!! The FCD will do a fine job. The post sizing of the FCD isn't the same as sizing with a sizing die; it's for fixing anomalies.

Best deals I've found for bulkm, quality 55gr bullets would be for the Hornady bullets by the case, typically at Widener's, but have seen them at other vendors, too.

I knew that there was a sizing ring in the Lee FCD; just doesn't have anything to do with crimping. Other taper crimp dies don't have that sizing ring.
