STI President and CEO

Just saw today where Tim Dillon resigned in January. Any other news on this?

jupiter7 03-08-2014 10:47 PM

Weird, I saw video of him at shot show with the new guns.

Tom, where did you see this? I do know that they have been looking to expand their facilities, and have been looking at other possible locales in Georgetown. The last that I heard they had acquired some property in Jarrell, which is up the road from Georgetown about five minutes, and plan to move there.

STI International Inc., an employee owned company, announced today that Tim Dillon resigned his positions as President and CEO, effective January 26, 2014. A committee has been formed to conduct a nationwide search to find his replacement. During the search period, local businessman, competitive shooter and current Vice Chairman of the STI Board of Directors, Robert Pullen, will assume the vacated office on an interim basis.

Pretty much says it all. Dillon is moving on to other projects and we're continuing to do what we do. RedDog, while we do own some land in Jarrell, it's not a sure thing that we're moving there. We DO need a bigger facility but the move (to wherever we end up going) is still a few years off...

The great thing about STI being employee owned is that the CEO can change, but the commitment to quality and pride in workmanship by the folks that do the work will continue because it's their company.

Hmmm...You are wrong STI REP....if you add Deer, Ducks, and Alligators....we are up to five seasons....and I bet there are a few more I don't know about?
By the way...when are we getting a lite weight CCO on the Guardian style?

Ha! :biglaugh:
We're close to plotting the new guns for 2015, but we're not quite there yet...

CPTKILLER 03-12-2014 09:50 AM

No news here in Austin on this at all.

LumpyBrass 03-12-2014 10:05 AM

NH?? No way. I lived in Maine which sucked. You had winter and a short August. And that is the good news.

Wow that was pretty quick and quiet.

loridah 03-13-2014 03:21 PM

As for new guns for 2015, I sure wish you would bring back that 4.3 HAWK in .40 S&W. I finally found a used one in blue and am sending it off to be Hard Chromed. Would love to have a brand new one. Just saying. WG

wizaussie 03-15-2014 09:49 PM

Forget New Hampshire. I lived there, its way too cold. Now, consider Brevard County on the east coast of central Florida. We have no snow, a beautiful ocean, low taxes and a lot of retirees who love to buy guns and shoot. I know because I am one of them. PS I love my Trojan and am looking forward to your new line.

Varekai 03-15-2014 10:30 PM

Move to FL. Then you can design a gun for shooting mosquitos.
